This policy explains what personal data marketing.persmontechnologies.com collects, why, where it goes and what you can ask us to do with it. In short: we use what you send us to reply to you, we do not sell it, and we do not use advertising cookies.
1. Who we are
This website is run by Persmon Technologies Limited, a company registered in Uganda, trading as Persmon Marketing, with offices at Mukwano Courts, William Street, Kampala, Uganda ("Persmon", "we", "us"). Our main website, persmontechnologies.com, has its own privacy policy, which also covers the forms this site passes to it (section 3).
2. What we collect and why

We use your data because you asked us to (to answer you or prepare an audit or proposal), because you consented (newsletter, analytics), or because we have a legitimate interest in running and protecting our website. We do not sell or rent personal data, and we do not use it for advertising.
3. Where your data goes and who processes it
- Our own server. This website runs on a virtual private server we manage, rented from Hostinger in its United Kingdom data centre.
- Persmon Technologies' website and inbox. This website does not keep its own database of enquiries. When you send a form, our server passes it straight to our main website, persmontechnologies.com, which stores it in Persmon Technologies' database and admin inbox. Only authorised staff can see it there, after signing in. Your IP address is passed along with the form so the main website can apply the same spam limits.
- Email. When a form arrives, a notification is emailed to our staff and an automatic confirmation is emailed to you. Notifications and replies are sent through our business email provider, Hostinger.
- Google Analytics (Google LLC), only if we switch it on and you accept analytics cookies (section 5).
- Google Maps (Google LLC). We do not embed a map on this site. The "Get directions" link on the contact page opens Google Maps only if you choose to follow it, and Google's own privacy policy then applies.
- WhatsApp and phone calls. If you tap a WhatsApp link, your message goes through WhatsApp (Meta), and WhatsApp's own privacy policy applies. Phone links open your phone's dialler; the call goes through your mobile network.
Our fonts and images are served from our own server, so viewing a page does not send your data to a font or image service.
Because our server is in the United Kingdom and Google may process data in other countries, your data may be transferred outside Uganda. We only use providers that protect data with security measures appropriate to the information they hold.
4. How long we keep it

You can ask us to delete your data at any time (section 6).
5. Cookies and analytics
This website stores two small preferences in your browser's local storage. They do not track you and are never sent to us: your light or dark theme (persmon-theme), and, when the cookie banner is shown, your cookie choice (persmon-consent). These are necessary for the site to remember what you picked. This website sets no cookies of its own.
Analytics is not switched on at the moment, so no analytics cookies are set and no cookie banner is shown. We may add Google Analytics 4 later to see which pages help visitors. If we do, it will only run after you click Accept analytics in a cookie banner; it would set the cookies _ga and _ga_*, which last up to two years, and rejecting would remove them. We do not use advertising or remarketing cookies.
6. Your rights
Under Uganda's Data Protection and Privacy Act, 2019, and similar laws elsewhere, you can ask us to:
- tell you what personal data we hold about you and give you a copy;
- correct data that is wrong or incomplete;
- delete your data, or stop using it for a particular purpose;
- stop sending you marketing at any time.

7. Security
